Cynthia L. Campbell

Cindy was born in Los Angeles California. She attended Villa Park High School in Villa Park California where she graduated in 1972. She obtained her AA (Associates of Art) Degree in 1976 from Santa Ana City College and her BA (Bachelors of Arts) Degree from Pitzer College in Claremont California in 1979. She went on to University of San Francisco School of Law where she graduated Cum Laude in 1986 with her JD (Juris Doctorate). She was also McCauliff honor society, student body president, graduated in the top 10% of her class and was a law clerk for the California Supreme Court.
She is the oldest of seven children, mother of two adult children (one attending university in San Francisco and the other working locally), and friend to many. Her parents opened North Valley Lighting here in Redding in the late 70’s where her sister and brother in law are now the owner/operators.
Cindy has been an attorney in California and Texas since 1986. She was a deputy district attorney at the Shasta County District Attorney’s office for eight and a half years, from January 1999 through June 2007. She opened her private practice in June of 2007.  She has and is currently handling many different types of cases, including private clients as well as being a contracted attorney for public defender conflict work. She is a member of the State Bar of California, the California Public Defenders Association and the Shasta County Bar Association.
She is an avid outdoorswoman, including fly fishing (or any other fishing), kayaking, boating, exploring, traveling, and most of all riding her motorcycle. She is a member of the local Yamaha Star motorcycle group, the women’s fly fishing group, and other local non-profit organizations.
Cindy is involved in community activities, the most current being the “Lock Up” to raise money for MDA so children with Muscular Dystrophy can go to camp, she really does have a big heart!
